The Jews, before the advent of the Prophet ﷺ, used to conceal the story of the people of the Sabbath from among the inhabitants of Eilah and what occurred with them, due to the rebuke and humiliation it entailed for them regarding what befell some of their ancestors from the Children of Israel, involving destruction and transformation.

 Sahl ibnu Sa^d as-Sa^idiyy narrated that: “A man approached the Prophet ﷺ and inquired, ‘O Messenger of Allah, direct me to a deed which, if I perform it, will endear me to Allah and endear me to the people.’ The Prophet ﷺ responded: ‘ازهَد فِي الدُّنيَا يُحِبَّكَ اللهُ، وَازهَد فِيمَا فِي أَيدِي النَّاسِ يُحِبَّكَ النَّاسُ’ "Forsake attachment to the world, and Allah will love you; forsake attachment to what others possess, and the people will love you.’"

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهلِ النَّارِ حَتَّى مَا يَكُونُ بَينَهُ وَبَينَهَا إِلَّا ذِرَاعٌ فَيَسبِقُ عَلَيهِ الكِتَابُ فَيَعمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهلِ الجَنَّةِ فَيَدخُلُ الجَنَّةَ» "Indeed, a man may act in accordance with the deeds of the people of Hell, drawing so near to it that only an arm's length separates him from it. Yet, what has been decreed overtakes him, leading him to perform the deeds of the people of Paradise, and he ultimately enters Paradise."  Narrated by Al-Bukhariyy.   Allah ta^ala said: ﴿وَلَا تَقْفُ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ  إِنَّ السَّمْعَ وَالْبَصَرَ وَالْفُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُولَٰئِكَ كَانَ عَنْهُ مَسْئُولًا﴾ “Do not pronounce judgments on which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight, and the heart—[the slave] will be questioned about each of these.”

  Muslim in his Sahih, ‘Ahmad in his Musnad, and Al-Hakim in his Mustadrak related from ‘Abu Hurayrah, may Allah accept his deeds, that he said: "I used to call my mother to Islam as she was still a polytheist.

In Medina, the Muslims were facing a scarcity of fresh and tasty water. There was only one well available, but its water was being sold at an exorbitant price. To alleviate the situation, the Prophet encouraged the wealthy companions to buy the well and promised them a reward in paradise for providing the Muslims with water to drink.
