Outcomes of the Battle

Subsequently, Quraysh approached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to negotiate the ransom for their captives. Each tribe ransomed their captive according to what they deemed appropriate. However, some of the captives from the Battle of Badr had no means of ransom.

steadfast hearts

The Muslims spent the night before the battle in a state of peace and reassurance. During that night, Allah sent down drowsiness and tranquillity upon them, as mentioned in Suratu l-‘Anfal: ﴾إِذْ يُغَشِّيكُمُ النُّعَاسَ أَمَنَةً مِنْهُ وَيُنَزِّلُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ بِهِ وَيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمْ رِجْزَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَلِيَرْبِطَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتَ بِهِ الْأَقْدَامَ﴿

He fought by organising his troops into rows, a method that is highlighted in the Qur'an in Suratu s-Saff, in the verse: ﴾إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الَّذِينَ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ صَفًّا كَأَنَّهُمْ بُنْيَانٌ مَرْصُوصٌ﴿

THE SECOND MIGRATION (PART SEVEN)

As the Prophet ﷺ neared Yathrib - later called "Taybah" in honour of his blessed presence -throngs of Muslims, jubilant and excited that he had arrived, eagerly came forward, each vying for the honour of hosting him, saying: "Let the Prophet be my guest; I will honour him and serve him," and taking hold of the she-camel's reins, attempting to lead it to their homes.
