Sa^id ibnu Zayd : his life and legacy echoing through time

Sa^id ibnu Zayd was one of the first to embrace Islam. He was one of the ten granted the glad tidings of Paradise and known for his prayers being answered.
Lineage
His name is Sa^id ibnu Zayd, son of ^Amr, son of Nufayl. His lineage can be traced back to Ka^b, son of Lu'ayy Al-Qurayshiyy, Al-^Adawiyy. He was one of the earliest converts to Islam and participated in the pivotal Battle of Badr. He embraced Islam before the Prophet moved to the house of Al-‘Arqam .
Sa^id Ibnu Zayd was an important figure who played a prominent role in key historical events alongside the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. He notably played a significant role in the siege of Damascus, which he successfully conquered. As a result of his achievements, Ab u ^Ubaydah Ibnu l-Jarrah appointed him to rule over the city.
His Father:
Zayd ibn ^Amr, his father, was renowned among biographers for his aversion to the worship that the associators devoted to other than Allah. He would often say, "I worship only Allah ." Although he had met the Messenger of Allah before his prophethood, he had passed away before the revelation came to the Prophet.
Virtues
Sa^id Ibnu Zayd, the son of Zayd, was known for his remarkable virtues. He was one of the ten people who were promised Paradise, and his invocations were always answered. Once, a woman falsely accused him of taking part in a piece of land that belonged to her. In response, Sa^id prayed to Allah, asking that if the woman were lying, she would not die until she lost her sight, and the land would become her grave. This incident was reported by Abu Nu^aym .
Ab u Nu^aym added: "By Allah, this woman did not pass away before losing her sight, stumbled out of her house and fell into a well where she died."
He also rejected those who insulted ^Aliyy Ibnu Talib.
At-Tirmidhiyy also reports that the Prophet ﷺ said:
"اُثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلاَّ نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيد"
(‘uthbut Hira’ falaysa ^alayka ‘ill a nabiyyun aw siddiqun aw chahid)
"Hira’, stand firm, there are only men on you who are Prophet or truthful or martyr."
The scholars of hadith stated that those who were present with the Prophet on the mountain at that time. ﷺ were Abu Bakr, ^Umar, ^Uthman, ^Aliyy , Talhah, Az-Zoubayr, Sa^d and ^Abdu r-Rahman as well as Sa^id Ibnu Zayd.
