It was reported that ^Aliyy ibnu ‘Abi Talib, may Allah accept his deeds, mentioned that Fatimah, may Allah accept her deeds, complained about the pain in her hands caused by the millstone (ar-raha[1]), which she used for grinding grain.

It is among the recommended matters for those who wish to sleep to follow the guidance of the Prophet ﷺ as reported by Jabir ibnu ^Abdi l-Lah, may Allah accept his deeds. He said: “إذا كانَ جُنْحُ اللَّيْلِ -أوْ قال: أمْسَيْتُمْ- فَكُفُّوا صِبْيانَكُمْ؛ فإنَّ الشَّياطِينَ تَنْتَشِرُ حِينَئِذٍ، فإذا ذَهَبَ ساعَةٌ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَخَلُّوهُمْ، فأغْلِقُوا الأبْوابَ، واذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ؛ فإنَّ الشَّيْطانَ لا يَفْتَحُ بابًا مُغْلَقًا، وأَوْكُوا قِرَبَكُمْ واذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ، وخَمِّرُوا ءانِيَتَكُمْ واذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ، ولو أنْ تَعْرُضُوا عليها شَيئًا، وأَطْفِئُوا مَصابِيحَكُمْ” “W…

Imam Ash-Shafi^iyy embarked on a journey of scholarly pursuit from a tender age. He traversed lands and disciplines, absorbing knowledge from esteemed scholars across diverse regions, commencing with the erudite Imam Malik in the early stages of his quest and culminating with a disciple of the eminent Imam Abu Hanifah.

After dedicating his life to the pursuit of religious knowledge and teaching, Imam Ash-Shafi^iyy passed away due to an illness. 'Ash-Shafi^iyy is the Imam of all people in knowledge, piousness, elevation, and strength.

The Zakah of Fitr is due on every Muslim who is alive for part of Ramadan and part of Shawwal (the month after Ramadan .) According to Imam Ash-Shafi^iyy, the due Zakah  for each is a “sa^” or four times a pair of average-sized hands cupped together (“mudd”) filled with the most common staple food of one’s area. However, according to Imam Abu Hanifah, the due Zakah is three “mudd” of wheat or six “mudd” of dates, barley or raisins.

Allah said: هو الذي انزل عليك الكتاب منه ايات محكمات هن ام الكتاب واخر متشابهات فاما الذين في قلوبهم زيغ فيتبعون ما تشابه منه ابتغاء الفتنة وابتغاء تاويله وما يعلم تاويله الا الله والراسخون في العلم يقولون امنا به كل من عند ربنا وما يذكر الا اولوا الالباب

Performing Hajj and ^Umrah once in a lifetime becomes obligatory upon the Muslim when he is free, accountable, and can afford to reach Makkah and return to his homeplace. This includes that one has in excess of one’s debts, appropriate lodging and clothing, and what one is obligated to spend on those whom one must support from one’s departure until one returns.

Imam Ash-Shafi^iyy was a mere fourteen years of age when Imam Malik granted him the authority to issue jurisprudential verdicts (fatwa). Beyond his stature as one of Islam's preeminent scholars, Ash-Shafi^iyy exhibited an unparalleled command of Arab genealogy and an extensive comprehension of their cultural, social, political, and economic history.
